Job Description
The University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) is currently accepting applications for the position of Administrative Specialist CL2 in the Student Health Center. Our center is dedicated to supporting students' physical and emotional well-being, offering comprehensive primary care services, from treatment for acute illnesses and injuries to support in managing chronic health conditions, as well as preventive health care. The mission of the UMF Student Health Center is to enhance students' academic success by delivering high-quality, affordable medical care. We collaborate with campus partners to foster health education and wellness throughout the UMF community.
This is a full-time position from September though May and up to three (3) hours per week during July through August.
Salary:
The salary is $18.22 per hourfor a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee within the Associated Clerical Office Laboratory Technical Staff of the Universities of Maine (ACSUM) Collective Bargaining Unit. In addition, the University will contribute up to a 4% matching contribution to the University of Maine System (UMS) retirement plan.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Processes purchase orders, claims, and invoices.Processes financial transactions for a broad range of accounts and sources.Ensures appropriate processing of routine and non-routine transactions.Responds to a broad range of inquiries using discretion and confidentiality.Posts charges to student accounts.Manages posting and payment discrepancies; follows-up on claim and billing errors.Assists in monitoring the department budget and project revenue.Maintains databases such as an immunization program system and intercollegiate and sports club rosters.Acts as a point of contact for outside vendors, agencies, and organizations (outside laboratories and healthcare providers).Manages the petty cash fund to ensure it is used responsibly, accounted for, and kept at a set balance.Coordinates with technical support to troubleshoots technological issues.Note: UMF reserves the right to change or assign additional duties as necessary.
