SIGN ON BONUS OF $3,000.00 ($1,500.00 at 6 months & $1,500.00 at 1 year).Purpose of the Role:The Occupational Health Nurse assiduously manages the health and welfare of Clow Valve by proactively caring for employees, promoting Clow as a premier place to work.Key Performance Indicators:Sustainability : 100% compliance on Medical Surveillance.Customer Experience:
Accurate medical charting according to OSHA record keeping standards.Employee Experience:
Complete 4 health & wellness initiatives per year.CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:Employee Wellness (60%):
Maximize employee productivity by cultivating and fostering trusting relationships with employees amongst the organization to accurately assess the well-being of the workforce and connect them with the needed resources to improve their health. Effectively decrease disability claims, on-the-job injuries, and absenteeism in service of overall employee health and safety by assiduously treating all on-the-job injuries, scheduling follow-up care, and actively educating employees on their diagnosis. Regularly perform health audits/assessments and SEG's to guarantee compliance with OSHA and government regulations including but not limited to, annual hearing tests, and random drug screens.Records Management (20%):
Actively partner with the Human Resources team to ensure accurate and timely onboarding of new employees by diligently creating and maintaining all medical records/profiles. Accurately chart/log all incident investigations, medical findings, SEG results, and related visit updates in employee files as well as Cority. Diligently perform/maintain regular checks on all AED, trauma bags, First-aid kits, and PPE pertaining to nursing and accurately record all information.Health & Wellness Strategy (10%):
Assess the medical surveillance needs of the workforce and develop, implement and monitor onsite wellness programs that enhance the employee well-being at Clow Valve. Cultivate trusting associations among the organization to cohesively schedule/perform all SEG (Similar Exposure Groups) testing to ensure the safety and well-being of the workforce. Plan, communicate, and execute mock codes and PEO triage trainings to enhance medical knowledge among the organization.Advisory (10%) : Proactively seek ways to enhance the medical safety knowledge among Clow Valve and assist supervisors/safety committees with conducting risk assessments. Coordinate health and wellness promotion campaigns and activities to foster a trusting environment that values employee well-being. Advise employees on wellness standards and tactfully assist supervisors in enforcement of standards. Serve as a medical advisor to committees including but not limited to MRT (teaching the team CPR), Ergonomics, PEO, VPP, and Wellness.Qualifications
TECHNICAL SKILLS:Microsoft Office Suites & SharePoint knowledge a plusStrong written, organization and verbal communication skillsRecord Management experienceCority & OSHA regulations/documentation process knowledge a plusExperience with clinical first aid treatmentsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Required-LPN & Active Iowa Nursing LicensePreferred-Registered Nursing Degree & Active Iowa Nursing License plus 3 to 5 years of practical nursing experience.Additional Information
