Position Summary: Are you passionate about supporting and enhancing the fraternity and sorority community? Your Role: As the Associate Director, you’ll supervise staff, develop new programs, propose budgets, and oversee a wide range of educational and social events. Your work will directly support the thriving fraternity and sorority community. Key Responsibilities: Advise Greek councils and organize leadership training. Manage programs promoting alternatives to alcohol and other drugs. Engage in student organization judicial processes. Assess and uphold standards of excellence within the community. Ensure compliance with the California State University System. Position Information: This is a full-time, at-will, position offering comprehensive benefits. This position is designated exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation. Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs. The individual hired into this role will work on campus at SDSU in San Diego. Education and Experience: A master’s degree in counseling, College Student Personnel Administration, Higher Education, or related field is required. A minimum of 4 years of experience in fraternity and sorority life, student activities, and/or student leadership development in a university setting is essential. Ideally, the incumbent will have significant experience in a comparable setting. Key Qualifications: Experience in reviewing, enforcing, and adjudicating policy. Experience working with diverse student populations. Experience supervising students and professional staff. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, administrators, student organizations, private and public agencies, and others in committee work, student advising, and community contacts. Demonstrated ability to make decisions and carry through actions. Experience in developing and managing multiple budgets. Experience in event planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation. Experience in developing and assessing student learning outcomes, including general knowledge of advanced statistical and research methods.
