Senior Professional (Senior PM) Environmental Management Practitioner

Chesterfield, MO ,supporting our operations in Kennesaw, GA. A hybrid or remote work schedule may be available at the Company's discretion. You will interact with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals throughout the U.S. and will provide project leadership and assistance with client development, with a focus on EHS and Due Diligence consulting services related to mergers, acquisitions and divestments. Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec's culture. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you'd work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You may also be asked to take on project management responsibilities, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks.Some of the key responsibilities for this position include:Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals;
EHS Auditing / Environmental Due Diligence efforts for M&A and real estate opportunities;Preparing concise reports that assess potential environmental liability risks and regulatory compliance at commercial / industrial facilities. Identify corrective actions for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations;Providing timely consulting advice to industry and legal clients to help manage business risk and maximize transaction value. Work with clients to find solutions to transaction-driven environmental issues, including environmental regulatory compliance, social impact, remediation, and liability cost estimating;Reviewing and interpretation of pending and new regulations and developing strategies for clients; andProviding clients with project management, technical advice and training related to environmental compliance, sustainability, and environmental management systems.Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree environmental science, chemistry, earth science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or a related field of study (required)Advanced degree in a related field of study. (preferred)Professional registration (e.g. P.G., P.E., CHMM or PMP). (desirable)Skills, Experience and Qualifications
At least 8 years of experience working in a consulting environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)Experience performing and leading EHS auditing and due diligence services related to mergers, acquisitions & divestments for the industrial, financial, legal and real estate sectors. (required)Experience in managing environmental compliance, permitting, planning, compliance and environmental oversight of projects. (required)Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including, project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required)Experience in development and implementation of environmental compliance training programs. (preferred)Excellent writing and communication skills. (required)Experience with Microsoft Office products. (required)Ability to make presentations at industrial conferences and at client meetings. (required)Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)Field work and overnight travel may be required.Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
