office. We are looking for an experienced environmental compliance consultant to help us grow our environmental management practice, lead client development, direct project teams, and develop our professional staff hand in hand with our other senior practitioners. Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec's culture. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you'd develop and work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You will also be involved in project management, along with staff management and development, and mentoring tasks. Some of the key responsibilities may include:Support Geosyntec's corporate clients in their compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role may involve designing and implementing environmental compliance programs and providing guidance on regulatory requirements to minimize environmental risks as well as developing plans and procedures for managing air, water, and waste.Develop multimedia permit applications, negotiate permit conditions, and help develop strategies to comply with permit conditions.Support clients with environmental aspects of transactions, reporting, litigation, and other business decisions.Manage multiple clients and projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.Manage the overall delivery of projects including project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management.Effectively steward and build client relationships to repeat business.Develop business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals.Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology or a related field. (required)Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)Professional registration (e.g., CHMM, CEP, CHP, CIH) (preferred)Skills, Experience and Qualifications
At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of experience in an environmental consulting environment, the environmental and/or health & safety compliance and management industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication and training abilities. (required)Familiarity with USEPA and local State environmental regulations (such as Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Toxic Substances Control Act, Wetland Permitting, etc.) and understanding of environmental permit application processes. (required)Demonstrated experience in stormwater compliance, including knowledge of the Clean Water Act, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits, and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP). (required)Demonstrated experience developing Spill Prevention Countermeasure and Control (SPCC) Plans for industry (required)Experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments. (preferred)Experience managing the overall delivery of projects including project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required)Field work and overnight travel may be required.Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees.
