The Director - Supply Chain Finance will be a strategic partner to Supply Chain executive leadership and leaders to manage cost, planning and execution in support of strategic plan.

This role will address complex challenges and/or projects/pilots, requiring advance problem-solving and leadership skills with the ability to influence the business more holistically, while providing guidance across the team.

Location:

This is a hybrid role based out of Ferguson's corporate offices in Newport News, VA, in accordance with the Ferguson flex schedule; 3 days in office / 2 days remote. Consideration may be given to remote candidates based on proximity, willingness and ability to be at corporate as needed.

Responsibilities:

Shapes financial strategies, guides executive decision making, and oversees financial operatives at a high level.

Leads financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and risk management for a region or customer segment P&L and communicates results to executive leadership.

Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business growth, expansion, mergers, acquisitions, or other pivotal initiatives.

Evaluate and recommend investment opportunities that align with the organization's goals and financial objectives.

Provides leadership, guidance, and mentorship to finance teams.

Manages financial activities, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for Supply Chain’s responsibilities as it relates to distribution and fulfillment, logistics, and integrated planning.

Provide financial justification for proposed investments and assess their potential impact on the company's financial performance.

Provides guidance, sets objectives, and ensures the team's performance aligns with organizational goals.

Anticipate the potential impact of change; develop adaptive strategies to allow the business to maintain its competitive edge and position as the “industry benchmark.”

Challenge and support business decisions with analytical rigor, insights, and judgments.

Handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and deliver high quality and timely results.

Balance long term business priorities with shorter term financial targets/budgets.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related subject area. Master's degree preferred.

Experience in Wholesale Distribution, Construction, Manufacturing, or Retail industries.

At least 10-12 years of relevant and progressive financial experience, including positions of Director Business Finance, Senior Finance Management, and Senior Finance Business Partnering and support of P&L.

Experience working in a large, diverse, and matrixed organization.

At least 5 years’ experience leading others and demonstrated ability to develop talent.

Strong partnership and communication skills to support and influence executive leadership.

Positive, collaborative, and team-oriented mentality.

Strong analytical skills and business acumen with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data.

Proven ability to communicate and explain complex finance and operational issues to a diverse audience.

A change agent—having professionalized business processes and a team.

Maintain a high degree of emotional intelligence and stability working with a multitude of personalities and within a fast-paced work environment.

Ability to deal with ambiguity, change, and a dynamic business environment.

Pay Range:

$9,409.50 - $17,467.50

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
