Position Overview:The Senior Analyst will work with a multi-disciplinary team of other analysts, clinical, and technology staff in performing analyses of non-financial and financial information, verifying integrity of data, performing detailed analysis to determine compliance with Federal regulations, state Medicaid policies, and other applicable laws. The Senior Analyst will prepare written documents supporting professional decisions and will perform other types of related tasks involving health care program integrity. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for supervising team members and managing small projects.Essential Functions:Conduct research in order to determine compliance with relevant Medicaid or other government program regulationsAssist with performing various analyses relating to Medicaid engagementsReview applicable Federal and State Medicaid policies and regulations relating to managed care, healthcare eligibility, reimbursement, and quality incentive programsReview, summarize, and apply policies and regulations specific to various analyses and auditsDemonstrate excellence in communication skills, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvementMaintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information when analyzing materialMaintain thorough electronic documentation and active communicationPrepare and distribute analytical data reports and/or records utilizing information gathered from variable subject matterWork with the defined scope of the projectMentor, train and provide assistance to other team membersHandle phone calls and e-mails from various stakeholders including providers, managed care plans, and government agency representatives to answer any questionsAdditional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, health policy or related field requiredCPA, CPA eligible, CFE, preferredMinimum 2 years of relevant experience, program integrity and managed care experience preferredProficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, WindowsMust have strong ability to analyze data to identify issues and potential fraud, waste and abuseOrganized and detail oriented with strong problem solving skills and proficient communicationDemonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of an organization, both internally and externallyEffectively multi-task with planning and efficiencyMust be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignmentsAbility to work in a team environmentMust be able to travel based on client and business needs
The Team:Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers or Senior Managers on the Benefit/Program Integrity engagement team.Work Style:Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period.
