With respect, we embrace differences to create an inclusive environment for all.Job Description:Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefited MCCC/MTA/DCE unit positions.Responsibilities:Instruct CSET lectures and hands-on labs for Cisco Networking 1&2, and CompTIA A+.The applicant must be available nights (after 4pm).The hired instructor is expected to have experience in:Cisco Networking Technologies (Certification of Cisco CCNA Required).CompTIA A+ Computer Technologies (Certification of CompTIA A+ Required).Hands-on work with both Cisco and CompTIA related hardware.Work-force training of students of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and creeds.Applicant must have an active Cisco Networking Academy instructor certification.Example of Duties:Conducts classes.Prepares for instruction.Assesses student performance.Provides student assistance by appointment.Engages in professional development and required trainings; and attends a limited number of faculty meetings.The instructor is expected to observe safety during the lab and demonstrate understanding of the technicalities involved in Cisco Networking and CompTIA A+ technologies.Requirements:Associate's degree within the field (Computer Systems Engineering Technology) or higher.Two years or more of College teaching experience, high school teaching experience, or adult education experience.Evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills to support interactions with diverse academic and non-academic audiences.A valid certification in CompTIA A+ (required).Be a Cisco certified instructor through the Cisco Networking Academy.
