Responsibilities:Review received impound/seizure/lien notices with urgency.
Determine and execute best appropriate action for repossession when dealing with impounded collateral, mechanic liens, bankruptcy, a deceased member, or a voluntary surrender.
Negotiate impound fees pursuant to state laws and engage legal third party when necessary.
Outbound/Inbound call attempts to customers to obtain insurance information and customers intentions.
Outbound/Inbound call attempts to businesses and third parties to negotiate fees and recoveries.
Maintain accurate and punctual record of repossession status and activity in notes and on the impound/seizure spreadsheet.
Review, evaluate, and file collateral insurance claims when appropriate. Manage Collateral insurance claim to completion.
Monitor active bankruptcy cases to assign the repossession upon approval of the bankruptcy department.
Recovery of seized or impounded vehicles, following State and Federal guidelines.
Maintain professional and effective communication with members, repossession agents, impound lots, and various internal departments.
Completes required applicable paperwork including sending all required Federal and State regulation letters.
Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures, including all applicable state and federal collection laws and regulations.
Accurately document all information pertaining to accounts and member contact.
Work with Members to complete hardship requests.
Manage the ancillary product refund processes.
Respond to online banking Member messages.
Escalate issues after exhausting your resources and work with third parties to ensure the best outcome for the organization.
Assignment of other repossessions as needed.
Position Requirements:This position is Remote.
Associate's degree or commensurate experience is Required.
1+ years of repossession or collections experience is Required.
Working knowledge in Collection and Repossession laws and regulations including but not limited to FDCPA and WCA is Required.
Ability to recognize impound requests that are outside of state law guidelines and take action to ensure the request is handled pursuant to state laws.
Ability to organize and prioritize work with minimum supervision.
Apply knowledge and experience of impound/repossession to perform negotiations with minimal supervision.
