We’re always searching the globe for innovative, collaborative minds to join our best-in-class Aecon communityReporting directly to the Commercial Operations Director, the Facility Security and Compliance Officer will manage site security planning, compliance, and coordination in accordance with the US Government and corporate requirements. They play an integral role in ensuring the effective implementation of Aecon’s security procedure manual in accordance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual procedures (NISPOM) and Aecon policies and procedures. They will also be responsible for establishing and managing security processes for all US Federal Government projects.Citizenship –
Must be a US Citizen to apply for this position.What You'll Do HereMaintain compliance with all U.S. Government security regulations including National Industrial Security Program (NISP)Draft and maintain security plans and proceduresMaintain awareness of changing industrial security regulations and how those changes impact site policies, personnel, or projectsConduct security self-inspections and apply risk mitigation methodologiesMaintain databases and government portals related to personnel and facility clearances for the Aecon’s cleared facilitySafeguarding and monitoring classified information located at the siteInvestigating and reporting security violations and adverse information reports with the cognizant government security agency in accordance with the incident response programConduct employee security briefings and debriefingsCoordinate information security and plant protection activitiesBuild and manage relationships with security points of contact at all US Federal Government clientsParticipate in the development of and conducts security education programsDirect employees in the proper application process for security clearances using approved government systemsManagement of access control systems and intrusion detection systems for classified processing areasOversight and management of physical ACS (access control systems) for employees and visitorsOversight and management of physical IDS (intrusion detection systems) for the siteConduct Initial Indoctrination briefings for newly cleared employeesConduct Reinvestigation clearance process on all cleared employeesManagement of classified transfers to and from the facility including maintenance of external shipping providersSupport visits and inspectionsSupports the Information Security and Physical Security Programs in the assessment of spaces and equipment for storing and handling classified materialProvide oversight to ensure compliance with the media protection policy including proper storage utilization and destruction of materialsImplement and maintain security best practices for all US Federal Government projects, including:
Data securityDevice handlingProvide crisis management support for specific security breaches / events
What You Bring To The TeamBachelor's degree in business, security, or related field10+ years of relevant experience in the industrial engineering, nuclear or construction industryIndustrial Security Professional (ISP) Certification (preferred) or CDSE FSO Program Management Certification (for Possessing or Non-Possessing Facilities)Familiar with Government Contracting requirements as it relates to securityStrong knowledge of JPAS, e-QIP, Scattered Castles, and forms SF86, DD 254, DD 441, and SF 328In-depth knowledge of NISPOM requirementsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)Excellent verbal and written skills, especially in proofreadingStrong leadership skills, ability to support teams and apply problem solving skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong presentation skills, ability to team with all levels of the organizationAbility to exercise judgment and understanding of how decisions impact overall organizationHigh level of self-motivation and initiative; ability to follow through seeing tasks to completion with the ability to work effectively and adapt in an ever changing, challenging, and fast-paced environmentAbility to anticipate alternate solutions and be prepared with contingency plans as needed in a calm and efficient mannerHave strong attention to detail while checking all aspects of the security program with respect to US Government security guidanceAecon fosters
