ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team in building the next-generation Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Cyber data solution. The CDM Program is the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) dynamic approach to strengthening the cybersecurity of Federal networks and systems through better awareness and visibility into their security posture and cyber threats. ECS is responsible for designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining a complete ‘Data Services' solution which includes the collection, normalization, visualization, and sharing of cyber data from more than 100 Federal agencies. The CDM Data Services product is an integrated suite of multiple Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, software configuration packages, and custom code which work together to operate as an integrated solution tailored to meet Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requirements.

ECS is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer that can validate initial stakeholder requests, evaluate technologies, and provide feedback and guidance on various aspects of solution design. This role will involve working across teams with the goal of optimizing development, delivery, and operations of our solution. Motivation to explore problems, to find creative solutions and grow existing skillsets is a must. We are seeking dynamic, energetic, and engaging team members who love a challenge! The ideal candidate will be able to align to the following duties:
Work independently to evaluate and deliver robust solutions for complex technical requirements
Document and present solutions to internal teams and customer stakeholders
Evaluate and identify process improvement opportunities
Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) that align with operational processes and program policies
Support, guide, and mentor junior engineers through knowledge transfer and paired programming
Install, configure, maintain, update, manage and refine information systems
Evaluate infrastructure designs for policy compliance, design principle alignment, and provide feedback and improvement ideas where applicable
Recommend, schedule, and/or implement system maintenance plans
Design and configure monitoring and logging solutions and analyze/report results for security and SLA management
Ensure system components maintain compliance with client requirements and relevant security policies
Work with the security team to evaluate vulnerabilities and determine appropriate treatments
Coordinate and/or provide support for applications and operations
Conduct and support functional, interoperability, and security testing events
Salary Range: $123,061-$184,592
Requirements:
Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust Suitability
Bachelor's degree or 8 years of relevant experience
6 years designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining solutions within Amazon Web Services (GovCloud preferred)
5 years of infrastructure experience related to network security
5 years of experience developing processes and standard operating procedures
5 years of experience developing monitoring solutions that provide alerts through various mechanisms
5 years of experience supporting infrastructure systems in compliance with security standards and policies
5 years of experience evaluating security posture and providing solutions to treat security findings
3 years of experience managing logging and monitoring solutions with subsequent analysis and reporting
3 years of experience supporting Cloud Engineering and Automation (e.g., DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline, Infrastructure as Code)
Experience implementing and managing Kubernetes (K8) clusters, including setting up, configuring, and maintaining container orchestration environments; managing scaling, deployments, and rollouts; ensuring high availability, security, and compliance within the cluster; and optimizing performance for containerized applications
Experience designing solutions within the Government Cyber Mission Space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (e.g., FISMA, FIPS, SecOps)
Experience producing technical documentation to communicate system designs and technological analysis
