This position is responsible for the management and organization of the front office operations including scheduling, purchasing, medical records, etc., as well as manage the department’s electronic health record system, including training, resolving user problems, managing upgrades, etc.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:•Provides administrative support to SHS clinical staff•Address building maintenance and custodial issues.•Assist with departmental fiscal management•Performs client/customer service•Perform accounts payable services•Conducts human resources and payroll support duties•Perform oversight for electronic health record systems•Assist with software training for all employees •Support SHS information management including web, social media, SHS brochures, etc.QUALITIES:•Clinical ethical sensibilities, particularly regarding client-patient Confidentiality•Excellent customer services skills•Embrace diversity, able to work well with others and is open to improvement within the department•Attention to detail and accuracy•Effective verbal and written communication skills•Organized and able to maintain financial and patient record keeping•Working knowledge of office policy, procedures, and office equipment•Able to use a variety of computer software programs PHYSICAL DEMANDS:•General office environment with prolonged periods of computer work.•High level of interruptions requiring one to leave the desk area throughout the workday.•Ability to be mobile on campus.Experience Required: Three years office experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPR certification upon hire OR within the first 3 months of employment.Experience Preferred: Work experience in a higher education environment, working knowledge of Banner software or compatible information database, working knowledge of Medicat electronic health record system, and work experience in a medical office.Montana State University Billings is committed to providing a working and learning environment free from discrimination.
