Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for demand planning, supply planning, and monitoring the movement of inventory to ensure optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities:Demand Planning:Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast future demand.Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotional plans into demand forecasts.Develop and maintain demand planning models to improve forecast accuracy.
Supply Planning:Create and manage supply plans to meet demand forecasts while minimizing costs.Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.Monitor production schedules and adjust plans as necessary to address any supply chain disruptions.
Inventory Management:Track and monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.Implement inventory control procedures to minimize excess and obsolete inventory.
Data Analysis and Reporting:Collect and analyze supply chain data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.Prepare and present reports on key supply chain metrics to management.Use data-driven insights to recommend process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, logistics, and finance.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on supply chain strategies and objectives.Provide support and training to team members on supply chain processes and tools.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle).Experience with SQL database, Visual Basic (Excel and Access macros) and Power BI and Crystal Reports.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.An advanced degree or certification in supply chain management will be a plus (e.g., CPIM or CSCP).
