Summary of Essential Duties

Responsible for the overall development, implementation, and oversight of flight, maintenance, ground, and corporate safety and security programs.

Actively participates in all company SMS safety assurance working groups and responsible for the company standards board.

Conducts safety risk management regularly to proactively identify and mitigate hazards.

Executes investigations, identifies root causes and develops effective mitigation strategies. Through training, procedural enhancement, creative safety program development and awareness, actively reduce the number of on-the-job-injuries, accidents, and incidents.

Directs the corporate Internal Evaluation Program (IEP).

Ensures effectiveness and continuation of several safety programs including pilot, crew resource and maintenance Aviation Safety Action Programs (ASAP), Flight Operations Quality Assurance (FOQA), Fatigue Risk Management (FRMP), Line Operations Safety Audit (LOSA) audits and Safety Management System (SMS) programs.

Develops and maintains the Contour Emergency Response Program.

Maintains close liaison, and coordinates, with the FAA, NTSB, OSHA, TSA, and other government organizations.

Responsible for company-wide compliance with OSHA and DOL standards including complaint investigations and company responses/actions. Development and execution of the company hearing conservation program.

Identifies and executes forward-thinking processes and tool procurement for predictive analysis.

Provide written reports which are clear, concise, and meaningful for all ground / aviation safety matters.

When needed, perform duties as an active member of an aircraft accident board.

When needed, coordinate first responder duties during an onsite accident.

Assist in maintaining accident and incident records, files, and reports.

Knowledgeable of OSHA, EPA, FAA, NTSB, and other appropriate federal, state and local regulations.

Expert knowledge in the technical field of aviation safety and accident prevention and experience in use of DOD, FAA, NTSB, or ICAO documentation is required.

Coordinates with departmental leadership to analyze and correct discrepancies ensuring all system are working properly.

Ensures ongoing detailed and effective communications.

Service as the Companys AOSC.

Oversight of internal and external audits including FAA, ARG/US, ISBAO, DOD, etc.

Oversight of the Companys tech publications.

Oversight of the Companys FAA SAS Portal

Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Be at least 23 years of age.

Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record.

Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.

Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, and related software.

Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal history records check.

Must understand, read, and write English.

Knowledgeable of the Company general operations manual, general maintenance manual, FAA regulations, NTSB procedures, HMR 175, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight manuals, and all other material pertinent to duties.

An Associates degree preferred.

Minimum of 4+ years of aviation related experience.
