This is a position with grade 99 This position reports to Sales Manager Your role and responsibilities Openings available for HPR Sales Manager at ABB Inc. in Westerville, OH: Manage technical and commercial aspects of the sales team's pursuit as well as for yearly margins and order intake for assigned region. The HPR business provides large DC systems that power the production lines of aluminum, chemical, steel, graphite, copper, and hydrogen plants. The projects range from 5 MW to 2000 MW. Oversees the preparation of RFP specifications for suppliers and distributes work to sales team working with him to configure the system solution. Act as liaison regarding technical discussions with the customer's team to drive them towards ABB's solution or to explain them how ABB's solution fits their purpose. Organize and manage a project virtual team (3-15 people) to work on the RFP (Engineers, Supply Chain, and External Contractors). Set up the commercial structure of the project and manage negotiations with suppliers and vendors. Ensure compliance with company requirements and minimize the commercial risk for the company. Develop relationships with the customer up to the C-level executives. Qualifications for the role Requires a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience conducting and coordinating large projects with direct customer contact. Also requires 2 years of experience: supervising installation and commissioning of complex Power Electronics Converters (including rectifiers) and Distributed Control Systems; training and educating customers; calculating budgets and financial figures; and working with cross-function teams globally. In lieu of a bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience as stated, employer will accept 4 years of experience as stated. Requires 2 years of experience: leading a team including direct and indirect reports (virtual teams); and controlling and minimizing costs. Employee reports to corporate address at Westerville, OH, but may work from home. Because position is required to travel to unanticipated cites within the central and eastern USA time zones with little or no notice, employee must live within one of these regions. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. We are offering a salary of at least $154,773 per year.
