About the Position: This position is located with the 404th Army Field Support Brigade - Plans and Operation Division - Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland Responsibilities Serve as a Financial Management Analyst, applying knowledge of accounting, budgeting and resource management practices. Conduct review and analysis of financial transactions, financial system data/reports, planning documentation. Analyze funding directives and guidance to determine applicability to the command and initiate changes to policies and procedures. Monitor processing cycles/techniques within various automated systems to analyze system outputs and regulatory reports. Process and identify source transactions; analyze and document need for adjustments; and initiate and ensure completion of corrective actions. Supervise civilian employees within the section. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience using accounting and or financial management processes to formulate the operating program budget; manage/monitor fund distribution estimates of annual funding and cost management needs; and utilize accounting systems to maintain data and prepare reports. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Financial Management Financial Management Analysis Financial Management Systems Financial Reporting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
