DescriptionErias Ventures is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to design, develop and implement complicated and difficult software capabilities for computer based systems. Will work with other talented engineers with modern tools and technologies.

This position allows for partial telework.

ClearanceA current Secret level security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

ExperienceNine (9) years' experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) Bachelors in related field; seven (7) years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and thirteen (13) years relevant experience.

Required skills:At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Libraries (e.g. Spring, Guava) and a Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.Experience in designing enterprise APIsExperience in RESTful web servicesExperience in Microservices architectureExperience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigmsExperience with the agile software lifecycleHas a proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team settingExperience with the Linux operating systemExperience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven)Must be able to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Columbia, MD office. However, flexibility is essential to accommodate any changes in the schedule.Must be able to obtain Security+ certification within 60 days of hire.Desired skills:

Experience in cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure).Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr)Scripting experience is a huge plus.Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus.Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.)BenefitsErias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits. The expected salary range for this position, depending on education and years of experience is $150,000 - $275,000.
