Egnyte is scouting for an experienced Staff Software Engineer with a shared passion for building large-scale distributed systems and a keen sense for tackling complexities that come with scaling through multiple orders of magnitude. This role is part of the team that builds applications that power Egnyte's next-gen data analytics and governance platform. This platform is a major step forward in the progression of how companies create, use, transact, and manage their critical data. It fuses the best of our file sharing and collaboration, security, and governance solutions, and leverages Egnyte's Content Intelligence Engine to give companies comprehensive management ability to secure and manage content across remote teams, enterprise apps, and any device.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:Architect, design and develop highly scalable and resilient cloud architecture that seamlessly integrates with on-premise systemsTake ownership and drive the team's goals and technical direction to find and pursue technical opportunities that make Egnyte's cloud platform more secure, scalable, and performantLead conversations and communicate complex design and architecture detailsBe an innovator who understands company and industry-wide trends to help develop new technologiesOwn all aspects of critical software projects from design to implementation, QA, deployment, and monitoringHybrid role - 3 days per week in officeYOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
8+ years of professional experience in engineering with a history of technical innovation and application developmentAdvanced hands-on Java programming experienceExperience providing technical leadership to engineersExperience architecting, designing and developing highly scalable and resilient cloud architecture in GCP or similar cloud platformsExperience with relational, key-value and column-oriented databasesExperience with large scale cachingDemonstrated success in designing and developing large scale, complex, responsive systemsBS, MS, or PhD. in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in designing, building, and scaling robust machine learning infrastructure to support large-scale data processing, pipeline orchestration, and seamless integration with machine learning workflowsExperience working with RAG pipelines and LLMsExperience with PythonData-driven decision processAn innovator willing to explore new technologies and looking for career growth through ownership and leadership opportunitiesCOMPENSATION:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $190k - $230k annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience.
