Overview

Since its founding in 2000, Rocky Mountain MS Clinic (RMMSC) has been providing the highest quality care and support for individuals with multiple sclerosis and their families.

To provide patients with the highest level of care, every care plan is tailored at their unique needs and preferences. Our collaborative team structure includes board-certified neurologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, and researchers.

In 2023, RMMSC partnered with Nira Medical Group, a national partnership of independent practices focused on driving the future of neurological care delivery through a patient-centric, clinician-driven model empowered by technology. Nira's mission is to provide access to life changing treatments for those suffering from MS, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and similar disorders so that they can lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

RMMSC is recognized by the National MS Society as a Center for Comprehensive MS Care. RMMSC is centrally located in downtown Salt Lake City, UT, and will be expanding throughout Utah over the coming months.

Job Description

As an MS specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing MS patients along with a group of general neurology patients.

Performing neurologic history and physical exam and conducting neurodiagnostic tests as necessary to diagnose complex medical problems with a focus on multiple sclerosisOrder and interpret neurologic tests including EEG, EMG, and neuroimaging studies (CT, MRI, and PET)Prescribe and/or administer medication and treatment for neurologic disorders such as multiple sclerosis including infusion therapyMonitor the side effects of treatment with knowledge of high efficacy disease modifying therapy for multiple sclerosisCounsel patients and caregivers on neurologic diagnoses and disorders with a focus on multiple sclerosisInteract with primary care and other medical specialists to coordinate patient careConsult other specialists when necessaryMonitor and track the patient's response to treatmentCarefully document the patient's health care journeyRespond appropriately to urgent and emergent situations as presented by phone and in person at the clinicParticipate in neuroscience research to better serve patientsParticipate in lifelong learningLead the neurologic care team which may include staff members and advanced practice providersQualifications:

Completed a three-year residency in a US ACGME accredited neurology programSuccessful completion of the USMLEOne- or two-year neurology fellowship in multiple sclerosisABPN Board-certified neurologist (will consider Board-eligible if less than two years since residency/fellowship training completed).Current medical license and eligible to obtain Utah medical license.Current federal DEA licenseProfessional organization membership is preferredSkills

What we offer

Our base salary starts at $305,000-$310,000 and includes a competitive benefits package of health, dental, & vision insurance, annual CME allowance, 401K, and generous vacation & holiday package.
