Under broad supervision, provides management information system user support on a continuing basis either by phone or site visit. Troubleshoots end-user problems. Analyzes & designs software modifications to meet users' needs.
ITTechnical Support Specialist
This support person will oversee IT systems and assets,assist with upgrades and fixes, and provide training and support as needed. Theideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software,network maintenance, and industry trends to keep us on the cutting edge.Engaging with employees throughout the company, the IT support person will havean immediate impact on the efficiency of our operations and overall growth.
Objectives of this role
Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardwareHandle business-critical IT tasks and system improvementsEnable faster and smarter business processes and employee productivityResearch and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and softwareServe as the subject-matter expert supporting Windows, and widely used software and applications, such as Microsoft and Adobe.Responsibilities
Install, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, printers, and phonesAnalyze staff needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost efficiency and accuracyExecute systems and network design, documentation, implementation, testing, and administration, and ensure components meet business needs and work together seamlesslyImplement applications and software upgrades and troubleshoot any performance issuesTrain employees in using software and hardware, and provide technical support when needed
Required skills and qualifications•Knowledgeof troubleshooting MS Office 365, VPN, Adobe, McAfee, LogMeIn, encryption, etc.•Abilityto troubleshoot computer peripheral devices: printers, scanners, MDF, monitors,keyboard, mice etc.•Experiencedin troubleshoot issues on end user computing devices, including desktops,laptops, and Surface Pros.•Historyof working in an Active Directory domain environment•Proficientat software installs and troubleshooting•Somenetworking knowledge, along with the ability to troubleshoot network issuesfrom the command line.
