Understands the current state and future direction for the area and for the enterprise and influences leadership (business, technical, and administrative) to deliver IT solutions that are aligned with enterprise IT and business goals. Aware of relevant internal and external standards, assuring that projects make appropriate use of them in their designs and implementations. Emphasizes Risk Identification and Management (Reduce Risk). Identifies commonalities and reuse opportunities to achieve business process. Supports and/or contributes to the design, development, and delivery data evaluation and documentation using Client standard procedures. Establishes the data architectural practice in the project/team. Ensures that project plans appropriately include data architectural processes. As part of the implementation of future-state data architecture, works with others ensure appropriate data migration plans are developed for raw data. Ensures exceptions to architectural standards and landmarks go through the appropriate exception process. Defines/formulates technology strategies in accordance with internal and external regulatory policies. Applies Quality/Regulatory principles in all data architecture decisions. Develops and maintains data architecture artifacts including standards, enterprise models, positioning charts, data architecture roadmap/plan for IT to influence/enable business processes. Provides mentorship to projects on data architectural principles, decisions, and data strategy. Conducts data architectural design reviews, including alignment with future state data architecture, and evaluation of technology alternatives. Watches and guides development and integration of IT systems that are architecturally compliant. Prepares and validates current data architectural designs. Maximizes consistency across Information Systems. Quals--Experience working in team collaborative environment, prior experience developing and documenting strategies and written artifacts for use in quality environment. Experience/comfortable with data evaluation, relational databases, identification of issues and communication to appropriate team members for resolution, remote worker with development experience may be considered.
