The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry, to our team and will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.Responsibilities:As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:1. Preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards and regulations.2. Performing month-end general ledger account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of our financial data.3. Balancing all intercompany activity to ensure transactions are correctly recorded.4. Facilitating and completing monthly job cost closing procedures to accurately reflect project costs.5. Preparing year-end accounting schedules for CPA financial review to support the audit process.6. Assisting with external audits to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.7. Analyzing revenues and expenses on a monthly basis to ensure they are recorded appropriately and comparing with budget to analyze variances.8. Preparing financial analysis as requested by management to support decision-making processes.9. Undertaking other projects as assigned by management to support the overall financial health of the company.Qualifications:To be considered for the role of Senior Accountant, candidates must meet the following qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2. At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the construction industry.3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as relevant financial regulations.4. Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.5. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or issues.6. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.8. Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all tasks.9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.10.
