Many More!Job DetailsJob Details:We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Accountant to join our team. This position is with a leading engineering firm, focused on managing the financial aspects of our various projects. The Project Accountant will be responsible for the financial health of our projects, providing financial analysis, budgeting, and cost accounting. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, capable of working with complex data sets and financial models. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the financial aspects of project portfolios, ensuring all financial reporting is accurate and timely. Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses. Conduct regular financial analysis to identify and manage project risks and opportunities. Work closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support. Implement cost accounting practices and procedures to ensure project costs are accurately tracked and reported. Provide financial input in project contracts and negotiations. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements relating to project accounting and financial management. Develop and implement financial control procedures and systems. Use Microsoft Excel to create financial reports, forecasts, and models. Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and decision support.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An advanced degree or professional certification such as a CPA is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project accounting role, preferably in the engineering industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software. Excellent financial analysis skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets and financial models. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and discrepancies in financial data. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
