Overview
The Procurement Manager - Stores will lead cost-saving projects across indirect procurement categories, focusing on Retail Store Fixtures and Graphics. This role collaborates with Store Innovation and Development teams to manage fixture databases, drawings, specs, and pricing, while developing and overseeing vendor databases for installations and new store projects. Responsibilities include analyzing third-party spend, sourcing, and market analysis to identify opportunities. The role provides strategic leadership, influences category direction, and supports RFx activities, ensuring procurement compliance and value creation across teams. Additionally, the manager oversees spend visibility and reporting.
A Day In The Life:
Sourcing:- Lead and execute sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs, negotiations) to drive savings using eSourcing tools and reverse auctions.- Guide cross-functional sourcing teams and collaborate with departments to provide value-added services.- Lead contract negotiations, including key terms, service levels, and KPIs.- Support stakeholder spend/vendor initiatives as needed.
Contract Management:- Oversee contract review, negotiation, and execution using the contract management tool.- Continuously maintain the status of all contracts in the contract management tool.
Strategy:- Assist in developing category strategies and annual savings plans using market intelligence.- Conduct total cost evaluations, market research, pricing audits, and impact analysis.- Analyze markets and risks, gathering key intelligence.- Collaborate with suppliers and stakeholders on cost and performance improvements.- Monitor purchasing reports for compliance and streamline processes.
Supplier Management:- Manage supplier performance against service levels and KPIs.- Address and resolve strategic supplier issues to ensure satisfaction.- Negotiate and manage key supplier relationships.- Maintain contact with suppliers and address ongoing issues.- Promote continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts.
General:- Mentor and develop team members.- Guide procurement staff on best practices.- Support procurement/supply chain initiatives.
You'll Come With:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, MBA a plus
C.P.M., C.P.P or C.P.P.C. Certification a plus
5-7 years procurement experience in a multi-site environment supporting multiple business units
Diversified background with exposure to Supply Chain Operations, Project Management, Supplier Relationship Management, Finance, contract negotiations, and/or strategic sourcing
Good understanding of procurement trends and best practices (i.e. reverse auctions, e-sourcing, etc.)
Strong negotiation skills and knowledge of the sourcing process
Good understanding of legal terms related to purchasing contracts and framework agreements
Strong command of vendor performance management and vendor metrics measurement
A general understanding of the contract execution and administration process
Experience with developing and implementing successful cost saving initiatives
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with keen understanding of relevant cost drivers
Demonstrated ability to lead teams in achieving or beating challenging goals
Demonstrated ability to manage, develop and coach others
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Flexible and responsive to change
Procurement systems knowledge is a plus
Scope and Impact:
As a primary focus, partner closely with theCategory Managers and Business Unit Stakeholdersto influence spendon both an operational and project basis. Work closely with other business units throughout the enterprise as needed to drive savings.
