Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
We are actively hiring entry-level Assembly Technicians for a growing semiconductor manufacturing company located in Saugerties. This position offers training and an opportunity to work in a dynamic and diverse environment. The primary role involves identifying parts that do not meet industry standards, modifying parts to meet specific build needs, and maintaining communication with supervisors to ensure efficient production. The job also involves completing daily documentation, adhering to safety regulations, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
Responsibilities
Identify parts that do not meet industry standards through testing and visual inspection.
Modify various parts using tools to meet specific build requirements.
Maintain communication with supervisors to ensure efficient production.
Complete and submit time costing sheet documentation daily with relevant service, project, and billing information.
Maintain a professional manner to enhance the company’s image with customers.
Follow safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Clean the working area prior to leaving each job.
Attend and participate in departmental or company meetings.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Complete routine tasks according to departmental policies and procedures.
Work with direct supervision.
Essential Skills
Basic to intermediary knowledge of assembly production processes.
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
Mechanical and inspection knowledge.
Experience with manufacturing and assembly.
Proficiency in using hand tools and micrometers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
HS Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certificate with relevant experience.
Visual acuity and manual dexterity.
Excellent math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions).

This position is within a growing semiconductor manufacturing company. The work schedule is 1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires adherence to safety regulations and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
