Requirements / Qualifications

Under the direction of the Principal, candidate will train and provide work direction and guidance to assigned custodians at the campus. Candidate will perform responsible evening custodial activities at an assigned school site to maintain buildings, locker rooms and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition. Candidate will assign, monitor, and participate in cleaning and other custodial functions at the campus. Candidate will inspect assigned school site and report condition of facilities and will train, assign, review, and coordinate work of assigned custodians.

Qualifications: Any combination equivalent to: sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above, as well as one year of responsible custodial experience. Knowledge of proper methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in custodial work and non-technical maintenance is required. Knowledge of the requirements of maintaining school buildings in a safe, clean, and orderly condition is also required. Candidate must know principles of training and providing work direction, appropriate safety precautions and procedures, and modern cleaning methods including basic methods of cleaning and preserving floors, black/whiteboards, carpets, furniture, walls, and fixtures. Knowledge of proper methods of storing equipment, materials, and supplies is required
