**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room
**Job Specialty:** Surgical Services - Operating Room
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 10-hour day shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience
**License:** License to Submit
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS
**Must-Have:** Previous travel experience, preferably 1.5-2 years
**Job Description:**
- Work in a surgical services unit with 10 operating suites and 8 rooms running per day.- Handle common cases ranging from pediatric to geriatric, including orthopedics, general robotics, urology, gynecology, vascular, spine, podiatry, and ENT.- Scrubbing is not required for RNs.- Collaborate with a Charge RN during day shifts.- Work with certified surgical technologists (CSTs) and orderlies to clean rooms between cases.- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system.- Shifts can be 4x10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) or 3x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM).- Weeknight and weekend call requirements involve 12-hour shifts and are scheduled to cover leave as needed.- Call response time is 30 minutes.- Float to the Surgery Center if required.- Wear blue scrubs provided, with OR shoes or shoe covers and own eye protection preferred.- Participate in unit/department specific orientation with a week of training with a unit-based educator.- Fulfill holiday call requirements as needed.
