**Must-Have:**- Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias- Care of ventilated patients, tracheostomy management- Non-titrated management of cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Milrinone, Lasix, Cardizem (titrated), Dopamine, and Dobutamine)- Insulin 3:1 preferred- Telemetry experience
**Job Description:**
- Start date on December 10 is required.- Required 1:3 patient ratio with trachs and ventilator management.- Experience in telemetry, PCU, DOU, IMC, and step-down units.- Skills in the management and interpretation of telemetry monitoring are essential.- The use of Rapid Response Teams and post-MI care experience needed.- Candidates must handle pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure cases.- Expertise in accessing ports, central line and PICC line care and management, as well as starting IVs.- Competence in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration.- Duties include care of patients with CVA, chest tubes, and external CPAP/BIPAP usage.- Familiarity with high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of ABGs, oxygen face masks, and non-invasive airway management.- Implementation of isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac is required.- Navy scrubs are required but not provided.- Willingness to float within areas of competency, such as med/surg, tele, and obs.- Use of the Omnicell medication system and SBAR communication is necessary.- Provider support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretary.- Intensive and hospitalist provider coverage available.- Prefer candidates with experience in post-cardiac angiogram, IV insulin protocols, titration of insulin drips, titration of cardiac drips, and pre/post neurosurgery.- Candidates must be available to work a minimum of two weekends per month, with potential for more.- 24-hour orientation provided.- Considering first-time travelers with PCU experience handling 1:3-4 ratios.
