Duties: As a member of the Advisor Services Technology team, apply technology and Institutional business knowledge to support the Advisor Services (AS) Conversion Program and the future evolution of the AS platform. Partner with business and technologists across the organization to achieve outcomes. Focus on database architecture, development, AS batch and production support for AS applications. In-depth understanding of financial transactions to manage and develop 3rd party custodial feeds. Lead and support the delivery of complex OLTP and OLAP database solutions. Deep understanding of DBMS engines to ensure optimal database design and production support capabilities. Database design and support skills for high volume/complex trading systems addressing database normalization concepts, concurrency control, and isolations levels. The candidate must have strong hands-on experience in performance tuning for SQL Server/Oracle/Postgres databases. The candidate must have strong database architecture and database modeling concepts are required to effectively lead database projects beyond delivery. Lead and support agile software development practices. Mentor and lead junior developers through the application development/support cycle. Support and enhance existing SDLC practices to increase quality and productivity.

Job Location: Jersey City, NJ

Salary: $179,982 to $234,300 per year

What you have

Job Requirements: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 72 months of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience in a related occupation or a Master's and 48 months. Experience must include the following: Install, configure, and maintain relational database management systems using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Postgres; Develop and implement business logic using triggers, functions, stored procedures, and extended stored procedures using SQL Server Management Studio, Toad, PL/SQL Developer, Visual Studio, PGAdmin, Bitbucket, and Git; Perform complex ETL design, development, scripting, and database administration task automation using MS SQL Server Integration Services, BCP, SQL Loader, Control M, Tidal Automation, SQL Server Agent, Python, C#, and Powershell; Perform performance tuning running on SQL Server, Oracle, and Postgres using SQL Server Profiler, Perfmon, PSSDIAG, FogLight, AppD, Splunk, Toad, PL SQL Developer, and Query Analyzer; Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical models for high volume and complex trading systems usingErwin or Power Designer; and Perform failover clustering, database mirroring, log shipping, point in time recovery, and replication for Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and PostGres.
