Alvarez & Marsal's Gen AI Center of Excellence (COE) is seeking an experienced Lead Developer - Fullstack who will be responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of both frontend and backend systems. This role will focus on integrating cutting-edge AI capabilities into a cloud-based environment, delivering a robust, scalable product to enhance customer success Your software will operate in all facets of A&M from internal tools that improve efficiencies to client facing enterprise systems that compete at the world level.
How you'll contribute
• Consult with internal clients and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand the problems
• Build efficient and explainable code
• Test your work to a high standard
• Review and approve others pull requests
• Mentor junior developers
• Contribute to all aspects of a project's lifecycle: documenting requirements, solution development, system configuration, testing, debugging, and support
Qualifications
• A bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology and/or a Master's degree in related field
• A human centered approach to application design
Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Develop the backend using Python and Django Ninja, ensuring a well-structured, scalable architecture that integrates seamlessly with the frontend.
- Web Application Development: Build and maintain a dynamic, user-friendly web application using React, TypeScript, and the Chakra UI library for responsive, accessible interfaces.
- Database Management: Work with PostgreSQL for database management, ensuring data integrity, high performance, and scalability.
- API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs using Django Ninja for interaction between frontend and backend systems.
- Cloud Environment: Deploy and manage applications in the Azure cloud, integrating Azure OpenAI services (GPT-4o) to enhance AI capabilities within the application.
- Version Control & Collaboration: Lead development practices in Git (Azure DevOps), including branching, merging, and approving code changes for efficient team collaboration.
- OpenAI API Integration: Incorporate advanced AI features into the product through integration with the Azure OpenAI platform.
- State Management: Utilize React's state management for a seamless user experience across different application modules.
- Team Leadership: While this is a coding-heavy position, you will also provide guidance and mentorship to a small development team, focusing on best practices.
- 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development, with proficiency in React, TypeScript, and Chakra UI for frontend.
- A bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology and/or a Master's degree in related field
- Proven experience with Python and Django for backend development.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in Azure cloud environments, specifically with Azure OpenAI services.
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database management.
- Familiar with database technologies such as C#, SQL Server, or MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern JavaScript Frameworks like Angular or React. Integration and development Azure or Mocking tools like Invision or Figma
- Proficiency in Git version control practices, including merging, code reviews, and resolving conflicts.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with a small team of developers while contributing extensively to the codebase.

- The annual base salary range is $130,000 - $170,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
