Senior Director, Strategic Sourcing (S&D)
As the Sustainability & Decarbonization (S&D) Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing at Honeywell, your role will be vital in shaping the procurement strategy and initiatives to secure cost reductions, enhance supplier performance, and maintain supply chain continuity within our division. You will serve as the Procurement Business Partner for our S&D leadership team. Utilizing expertise in strategic sourcing and supply chain management, you will foster growth and productivity within the S&D division. Reporting directly to our leadership team, you will work from our designated location on a hybrid schedule. In this capacity, you will significantly influence the financial performance of the business by achieving cost savings, improving working capital, enhancing supplier quality, and ensuring the overall success of the S&D division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute annual and strategic procurement plans to meet short term and long term business goals and optimize supply chain performance
Build strategic partnerships with S&D business stakeholders, including P&L owners, finance, production, R&D, supply chain and quality teams
Create and own the strategic supply roadmap for S&D business which can meet cost, quality, delivery and regulatory requirements for a next decade
Identify and develop strategic suppliers who meet our S&D business strategic objectives.
Build resilient supply chain. Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory changes. Maintain strong supplier relationships
Lead procurement activities within transformation and repositioning projects.
Drive sourcing relationships with Honeywell’s strategic alliances in partnership with Asset Management and Business stakeholders
Drive sustainability, waste reduction, new product introduction and growth initiatives to improve overall procurement efficiency
Partner with Engineering to identify and implement value engineering opportunities
Set and achieve aggressive supplier negotiation targets and drive effective contract management
Deploy various tools including industry research, market intelligence, supplier resilience, value chain maps, demand-supply maps, cost curves, should costing etc.
Prepare and present reports on sourcing performance, cost savings, and strategic initiatives to senior management

Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs.
YOU MUST HAVE
10+ years of experience in Chemical sourcing, procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management within chemical industry
Strong leadership and people management skills
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategies
Experience in negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and developing long-term supplier partnership
Knowledge of sourcing processes and tools, such as SAP and e-sourcing platforms
Strong Business Acumen
Cross-functional experience in engineering/technology, operations, sales/marketing

Master's Degree in n Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Professional certifications in procurement, supply chain, or contract management
Demonstrated business and financial acumen
Experience with make vs buy, contract manufacturing, cost curves, industry value stream mapping
Strong knowledge of the chemical industry, safety standards and local, national, and international regulatory requirements
Ability to lead change and build high-performing teams and challenge status-quo
