Assistant Office Engineer

(GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

Responsibilities

Monitor and track project schedule and budgetInterface with municipal clients and contractorsCoordinate and track all project plans and drawingsAssist Resident Engineer with change orders, RFI’s, submittals, and response letters to the contractorsPrepare and maintain project records including weekly and monthly project status reportsAttend Construction progress meetings and create minutes of the meeting

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited collegeThree years of experience in construction inspection or management of infrastructure construction projects (highway/sewer/water)Analyzing data and preparing reportsStrong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office applicationsKnowledge of construction management software a plusKnowledge with NYSDOT’s Site Manager softwareThe ability to multi-task, handling numerous concurrent requestsThe ability to work as a team playerStrong interpersonal skills- Please visit our website for all of our career opportunities at https://careers-liro.icims.com- We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package and a positive work environment.- Compensation: Min: $35.00/hr – $45.00/hr- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.The LiRo Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
