We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Advisor IT Systems within our IT Citizen Development group based in Houston, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and design interactive reports: Create and design visually compelling and high-performing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI.
Data modeling and transformation: Use Power Query and DAX to perform data transformations and calculations. Develop and maintain data models that power visualizations and dashboards.
Collaboration with stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders, department heads, and end-users to gather and define reporting requirements. Understand business processes and translate them into effective BI solutions.
Data integration: Connect Power BI with various data sources such as SQL Server, Azure, Excel, and other cloud-based platforms to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Performance optimization: Ensure dashboards and reports are optimized for performance and handle large datasets efficiently.

Security and governance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with organizational data governance policies.
Troubleshoot and support: Provide troubleshooting support for Power BI issues and work with IT or data teams to resolve any backend issues.
Training and documentation: Provide training and support to business users for self-service Power BI usage. Create documentation for all Power BI solutions and processes.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
4 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or Data Analyst with advanced knowledge of Power BI. Strong experience in data visualization and report creation using Power BI, with proven examples of interactive and actionable reports/dashboards.
Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
