Join the Connexus Energy Technology team as our Database Administrator. The Database Administrator is responsible for managing our relational database systems ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability by providing day-to-day administration and management. This involves working with internal business process owners, business subject matter experts, and IT teams to manage data loads or other database activities, analysis of the reporting and business intelligence tools to ensure optimal use of the databases. We are looking for a proactive individual with an eye for detail and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues. This position offers a hybrid work environment, sharing time working in our office and your home office.

Key Responsibilities & Results:

Maintain and ensure availability, performance, and security of SQL and other databases.

Provide advanced technical support to employees on database, application, and web server issues ensuring maximum efficiency with minimal downtime in accordance with customer needs and requests.

Architect, install, maintain and troubleshoot SharePoint, data warehouse, enterprise reporting, business intelligence environments and related equipment to result in maximized productivity and stability of environment

Make recommendations to maintain currency with regard to database, communication, application, and web server technologies.

Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

Associates degree in Computer Science or related field and four years of related experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and three years of related experience

Windows Server and IT support experience

Skilled in SQL, SQL Server Management Studio

Knowledge of data security practices and protections

Knowledge of and ability to support Microsoft Windows and web servers

Ability to diagnose response time and performance problems of the Microsoft Windows Servers and make improvements

Ability to monitor alert logs and system logs, discern severity of problem, and contact the proper people to resolve the problem

Skills in current Windows and virtualization platforms, including: Windows 2019 and 2022 Server

Knowledge of regulatory compliance, including GDPR, HIPAA, FISMA, Red Flag, and applicable security assessments

Knowledge of and ability to support Windows Application Servers, interfaces, SharePoint, and web services

Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Able to communicate and work effectively with all levels of staff

Preferred Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting

Working knowledge of Power Platform toolset
