We are seeking a Communications Manager IV (Contractor) for a very important client.

Under the direction of Sr Manager, the employee communications manager will collaborate with business partners to design and execute communications plans that support key HR and business objectives including long-term goals and projects that support the employee experienceThis individual will be a key contributor in a fast-paced, complex environment and will serve on teams or projects, leveraging communications expertise to drive key initiatives.

The Local Media Development (LMD) team is Client's source for superior platforms, programs, and experiences that deliver enduring value and impact for the company We produce exceptional, impactful content and experiences that reach millions of people worldwide, masterfully connecting all audiences to our company and core values The Communications Manager is an integral role that supports a fast-paced, highly dynamic, and cross-functional communications team charged with oversight of external and internal communications strategy for one dozen Client brands and verticals.

Responsibilities:Create, implement and oversee communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products.Creation and development of print and online advertising, email marketing, web site management and content development, press releases, white papers, corporate videos and marketing collateral, marketing budget development and cost tracking.

Major Responsibilities• Serves as a key writer on the team, who meaningfully contributes to the department's communications strategy, and produces a high volume of written deliverables for all LMD platforms.• Develops and executes engaging content for LMD's platforms in the appropriate established voice for each format and audience.• Serves as liaison for communications requests for LMD-managed headquarters campus teams - Campus Experiential Content and Town Hall - including copyediting and fact- checking event pages and newsletters for employee events, experiences, and screenings.• Supports the development of cyclical and ad hoc communications plans and messaging for all LMD platforms.• Conducts partner outreach and drafts the quarterly department Briefing Book.• Supports editorial calendar planning, newsletters, and website updates for LMD-managed public programming platforms, Client Newsmakers, Getting Connected: Powered by Client Newsmakers, and Voices of the Civil Rights Movement.• Supports social media copywriting, targeted advertising, user comment moderation, reporting, newsletters, and Sprinklr troubleshooting for LMD-owned public programming platforms and Campus Experiential Content initiatives.• Serves as key contributor for LMD's platforms in internal and external communications recognizing the company's commemorative and heritage months, including corporate and employee blogs, e-newsletters, and internal social media platform posts on Viva Engage.• Supports the Senior Communications Manager in developing project-based executive summaries, cyclical reports, and other key reporting delivered to senior leadership.• Collaborates effectively with colleagues across LMD's highly dynamic and cross-functional team on a variety of internal and external communications tactics.• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.• Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The successful candidate will be an excellent writer with a proven track record of creating engaging content for a range of audiences across print, digital, online, and social media channelsMinimum 5-8 years of professional writing experience requiredSocial media brand management a strong plusLink to candidate's writing portfolio (or PDF attachments) and professional social media writing samples required for consideration.

Minimum Requirements:• Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills.• Successful writing experience with a variety of print, video, and online communications.• Ability to pivot voice and tone to effectively reach various audiences across multiple formats.• Proficiency with AP Style and social media management platforms.• Ability to effectively interface with senior management.• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills.• Ability to work from Client's HQ campus in Philadelphia for four days per week (Monday- Thursday, with Fridays remote).
