Resident Engineer

(GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.

Responsibilities

Organize, supervise and coordinate large-scale projects involving construction, alteration or repair of roads, bridges, utilities, buildings and/or structuresSchedule and coordinate all construction processesCoordination and inspection of work in progress for compliance with plans, codes and standards and for compliance with schedules and deadlinesDevelop and implement Construction Management Plans including confirming progress, reviewing issues and actions, and ensuring quality and safetyDevelop and implement an effective schedule of values for payments, change order control and evaluation systemConduct regular schedule analysis of projects’ progress and completionTrack project progress with electronic project control and scheduling systemsDesign and manage processes to efficiently support the program objectivesInterface with senior management personnel within organization and with our clientSupport Program Manager/Executive in all aspects of the projectProvide detailed management reporting to identify trends and areas for improvement

Qualifications

Prior experience managing at least one of the following: Major projects for Port Authority of NY/NJ, NYSDOT, MTA C&D, or NYCDOTAviation sector construction projectsLarge-scale civil/structural construction projectsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementPE requiredMinimum of 10+ years of experience in the construction industry as a Resident or Assistant Resident EngineerCandidates with equivalent experience working for contractors will be considered as wellAviation and/or Port Authority of NY/NJ experience a big plusKnowledge and ability to utilize computers, including the latest versions of office productivity and project management software, in daily activitiesExcellent communication skills for interfacing with internal and external contactsStrong problem solving skillsWe are committed to your success, and we invest in your growth and development to unlock your full potential.Competitive Total Compensation PackageEmployee- Only Stock Purchase PlanMentoring programsContinuing Education ProgramEmployee referral bonusVolunteer/Industry association opportunitiesOur Culture:We believe in the power of collaboration.
