Travel Nurse RN - Neurology - $1,863 per week

Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Neurology for a travel nursing job in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Neurology Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/02/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year Experience in MedSurg Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT Accept 1st Time Travelers (Must have at least 1 year of travel experience. Prefer 2 years previous travel experience) Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: IV Start and Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias and Management of dysrhythmias, Med/Surg neuro EXPERIENCE Certs: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS, ACLS (preferred, not required) PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Certs: ACLS JOB DETAILS: RATIOS: 1:5-6 Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays 36 hrs only SHIFT: 12HR DAYS Travelers are required to work every other weekend RTO -7 DAYS MAX if RTO includes weekends, time will be added to end of contract to make up for those dates. Float Requirement: Floating Required: floating required to any other MS/Tele areas, may include COVID care units. If the traveler calls in for a scheduled weekend shift, we will need to have them make up the weekend shifts based on the needs of the unit. Frequent floating may be required. PATIENT DIAGNOSES: We care primarily for Stroke patients, but also care for possible Neurosurgery patients as well as other Neuro diagnoses, such as Epilepsy, Traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas, and many more SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: We have a 4 BED Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) that is considered Intermediate level and that nurse has 4:1 42 daily census. 43 rooms/beds UNIT SYSTEMS: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR SCHEDULING TYPE: Preferred Scheduling If a traveler calls out of a shift, they are expected to make up that day the same week or at the end of their contract.
