TravelKey Responsibilities:Shift: Night shifts, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with flexibility for 3x12 shifts.Floating: Required to float to other units within the hospital (excluding Behavioral Health and ER unless managing holds).Patient Types in SDU:Pulmonary: Acute respiratory failure (e.g., pneumonia, COPD, CHF exacerbation).Cardiac: NSTEMI/STEMI, post-cardiac cath, AFIB with RVR, CHF, and post-op patients.Other: Sepsis (without pressors), minor trauma, CIWA, DKA requiring insulin drip.Surgical: Post-op vascular surgeries, arterial bypass, or compartment syndrome with neurovascular checks.Typical Ratios: 1:4, sometimes 1:5.Equipment/Skills: Vents, IV start, Telemetry, PA lines, Conscious Sedation, Neuro IV titration, Insulin IV experience.EMR System: Must be EPIC proficient (no exceptions).
Required Qualifications:2+ years of Stepdown or ICU experience (will consider strong candidates with less than 3 years).BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required via American Heart Association.Experience with critical care equipment: Vents, IV drips (including insulin and sedation), telemetry, and PA lines.Strong neuro experience is required.Active RN License in hand, preferably in North Carolina or a compact state.EPIC proficiency required.About Nationwide Therapy Group
