Job Description:
Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive physical and psychological assessments of clients to develop or follow individualized treatment plans.Assess clients' home and work environments to determine necessary adjustments for optimal functioning.Advise on adaptive equipment to enhance clients' ability to perform daily activities.Develop physical rehabilitation programs aimed at helping clients regain lost skills.Prepare clients for a successful return to work through tailored rehabilitation strategies.Educate caregivers and family members on effective patient care techniques.Evaluate the results and progress of occupational therapy interventions on clients.Maintain professional knowledge and stay updated on technical advancements to provide clients with the best treatment programs available.Comply with all federal, state, and local certification requirements.Evaluate patient conditions in relation to physical and basic mental health.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a program accredited by ACOTE (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education) or AOTA (American Occupational Therapy Association).Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.Compliance with state healthcare regulatory requirements.Up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices and physical therapy programs.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to care for clients with diverse personalities and needs.Proficiency in using computers for various tasks related to client care and documentation.Strong ability to assess patient conditions and collaborate on effective treatment plans.
