POSITION SUMMARY:

The Design Development Coordinator works closely with Product Development, Design, and Global Supply Chain to ensure all details of the line are implemented accurately from initial concept to bulk production while adhering to product development calendar. The Design Development Coordinator handles the overall communication with overseas offices and drives the product development process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

Partner with Design for seasonal development and new product launches

Work with Design for all necessary information to create tech packages in PLM for initial season set up and change management for post market revisions and additions to the line

Collaborate with Design to send development packages to overseas partners for material sourcing

Initiate and track material development from concept through production, ensuring material qualities fit the aesthetic and cost structure of each brand, and alert management of exceptions

Lead and monitor the timely approval of lab dip and quality submits while adhering to development timeline

Communicate material development comments directly to the hub/mill/factory

Create Proto Development chart to track status of proto from initial request to final approval

Schedule proto review meetings with Design and communicate comments to Hub office

Work with Design to initiate flash cost request; maintain cost request tracking log for follow up and receipt of costing information from Hub office

Collaborate with Design to create line sheet with images using Adobe Illustrator

Assign and maintain style numbers and trim codes for mainline and off price

Work with Design to finalize tech packages and release to corresponding Hub office

Responsible for all daily communication with overseas offices

Maintain and oversee calendar timing

Establish effective relationships with internal partners in Design, Merchandise Planning, and Global Supply chain to help implement cross functional alliance and collaboration

Enter all necessary information in XPC system to complete style package

Experience:

1-3 years’ experience recommended in product development merchandising or other related work experience

Strong organizational skills

Strong sense of collaboration and ability to multitask

Work independently

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

Detail oriented and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment

High level and must work well under pressure

Education:

4 year degree preferred

Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Proficient in PDM/PLM

Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

Pay Range:$70,000 - $90,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
