Our client in Miami is looking for an experienced HR Director with a strong background in finance or asset management to lead HR operations in a hands-on, startup-like role. The ideal candidate will have experience in a well-known bank, asset management, or accounting firm, and be highly self-motivated to support a growing client group across North America. This position serves as the sole HR representative in the Miami office, working closely with a team in Toronto and supporting a corporate services group spanning HR, marketing, legal, and finance. A strong ability to collaborate with cross-border teams and familiarity with North American business practices, particularly any connections to Canada, are highly valued.

Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of HR experience; experience in the investment industry is a plus.
Proven expertise in diversity and inclusion strategies and programs.

Familiarity with Employee Resource Groups and experience in DEI-related programming.

Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership: Provide proactive HR support to senior leadership across Corporate Services (Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, IT), covering talent acquisition, management, total rewards, and employee relations.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI): Lead the organization's DEI strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Oversee Employee Resource Groups, develop DEI initiatives, and manage related communications.
Employee Experience: Create and implement HR programs that enhance employee experience, using data-driven insights to continuously improve employee engagement throughout the lifecycle.
Performance Management: Oversee the performance cycle, offering guidance on coaching, career development, and respectful management of employee exits.
Change Management: Lead change management efforts related to organizational restructuring, job redesign, and HR strategic initiatives.
Talent Acquisition: Support the recruitment process, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience and attracting high-performing talent.
Employee Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance engagement, using survey results to support business goals.
Policy Development: Create and update HR policies to meet business needs and ensure compliance with regulations.
Collaboration & Conflict Resolution: Work cross-functionally to support large-scale initiatives, manage employee relations issues, and ensure a positive work environment.
