Aston Carter has partnered with a well-established company in the Kansas City, Missouri area and is seeking an administrative Assistant to join their team! This is a 5-month contract position that offers $23.70/per hour (based on experience). The company is looking for candidates with a minimum of 2+ years of experience. Job Description
As an Administrative Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors entering the facility. You will greet them with a friendly and welcoming demeanor, issue visitor and parking passes, and follow security protocols. You will also escort visitors to the proper location, approve janitorial or maintenance work orders, address issues with vendors or staff, and resolve inquiries or complaints from employees, guests, and co-workers in a professional, customer service-driven manner. Additionally, you will oversee team support, follow property-specific security and emergency procedures, and suggest improvements to existing processes.
Responsibilities
+ Greet visitors and issue visitor and parking passes.
+ Escort visitors to the appropriate location.
+ Approve janitorial or maintenance work orders as needed.
+ Address issues with vendors or staff as needed.
+ Resolve inquiries or complaints from employees, guests, and co-workers.
+ Oversee support for the team, including meeting coordination and equipment care.
+ Follow property-specific security and emergency procedures.
+ Notify management to ensure the safety of all individuals in the building.
+ Follow specific directions given by the manager and work under minimal supervision.
+ Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to enhance team efficiency.
+ Evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
+ Obtain identification and assign badging as needed.
+ Ensure deliveries are received and shipped out in a timely manner.
+ Multi-task and pivot throughout the day to serve client needs.
+ Support facilities in moves and events.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
+ High School Diploma or GED with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
+ Comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within the job function.
+ Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
+ Excellent customer service skills.
+ Ability to follow directions and work under minimal supervision.
+ Reliable transportation.

Work Environment
The role is onsite and client-facing, with a business casual dress code. The schedule can be M-F for 4-5 hours per day or longer days for 3 days a week. The schedule will be fixed once selected. The interview process includes one virtual intervie
