Job Description
Responsible for providing first-line support for PC-related problems by answering questions or resolving computer problems in person, via phone, or remotely. Provide training and technical assistance to end users as needed. Document processes and create knowledgebase articles used across the company. Install new hardware and software; review, monitor, and upgrade existing systems.
Responsibilities
Respond to phone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support.
Identify, research, and resolve technical problems while ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
Learn and utilize continuous improvement methodology to eliminate waste, improve accuracy, and build quality into processes and solutions.
Answer questions or resolve basic computer problems in a professional manner.
Provide assistance for hardware and software issues.
Diagnose calls to determine the level of technical assistance required. If unable to resolve the problem, transfer the documented issue in accordance with escalation procedures.
Support all user IT-related issues.
Train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
Document technical and non-technical solutions and processes.
Maintain IT equipment database.
Perform SAP password resets.
Essential Skills
Technical support experience.
Troubleshooting skills.
1 year of IT experience or a related degree.
Experience with ticketing systems.
Proficiency in password reset and software troubleshooting.
Hardware installation skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to respond to technical support requests via phone, email, and in person.
Skill in identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems.
Experience in continuous improvement methodology.
Professional communication skills for answering questions or resolving computer problems.
Ability to diagnose calls and determine the level of technical assistance required.
Capability to train users in the proper use of hardware and software.
Experience in documenting technical and non-technical solutions and processes.
Ability to maintain an IT equipment database.
Experience in performing SAP password resets.
Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite as there may be a need to physically look at hardware/software. There are no planned work-from-home days.
