For more information, visit hormelfoods.com.RESPONSIBILITIES:This position is responsible for the architecture, governance, and management & maintenance of the digital asset management (DAM) solution. In addition to being the organizations business owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for digital asset management, the candidate will own the asset lifecycle strategy and its execution to ensure the DAM system curates, stores, and syndicates high quality, relevant content to downstream systems (e.g., PIM) and ultimately to customer and consumers.The incumbent will manage all day-to-day system administrative, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts to keep the DAM system running optimally, as well as play a key role in evolving the systems operations through the incorporation of innovative system enhancements & upgrades, data model & taxonomy updates, system integrations, and productivity enhancing workflow development.The candidate will assign and support the Content Syndication Technician on various DAM related activities to achieve the required outcomes related to digital asset uploads, enrichment, and syndication. Although the candidate will not have direct reports initially, there is potential for the role to have direct management responsibilities in the future.The ideal candidate will have significant skills and experience leading the implementation, management, and maintenance of a digital asset management (DAM) solution (Aprimo experience preferred) and the digital assets contained within. They will have a strong understanding of digital asset management principles and governance, as well as top notch communication and project management skills, and proficiency leading cross-functional teams of internal and external DAM stakeholders to successful outcomes.System Administration & Maintenance
Responsible for configuration, integration, maintenance, administration, and enhancements of the DAM systems data model, taxonomy, metadata, and user interface structures.Owns DAM system day-to-day upkeep and librarian activities, as well as system upgrades, and troubleshooting. Works with the Information Technology Services (ITS) and system vendor(s) to achieve stated objectives.Conceptualizes, develops, tests, deploys, and maintains in-system productivity workflows to ensure compliance with marketing, legal & regulatory requirements and for other situations as necessary.Utilizes in-system reporting tools to create and communicate DAM system Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to leadership.Builds and administers system user roles and permissions.
External Facing Data Strategy
Build, administer, and update the DAM data and governance strategies to ensure high quality content is available for syndication to customers across all enterprise divisions.Collaborate with key internal (e.g., marketing, sales, regulatory, food studios, etc.) & external stakeholders (e.g., customer data teams, creative agencies) to gather digital assets and administer metadata coding rules during the enrichment process.
Asset & Content Lifecycle Management & Syndication
Directs the setup, maintenance, and management of the digital asset catalog.Leads the development and execution of digital asset lifecycle strategy.
Project & Change Management
Scope, scale, and lead assigned digital asset management projects to successful completion.Create and nurture user adoption of DAM system operations and rules.Work cross-functionally with internal (e.g., marketing, sales, regulatory, food studios, etc.) and external (e.g., creative agencies) data stakeholders to achieve assigned project goals and objectives.Lead the creation and dissemination of DAM system documentation and training materials, including facilitating training webinars.
People Leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:RequiredBachelors degree with a focus in library/information science or data management.3+ years of experience working with a digital asset management (DAM) solution(s).Demonstrated pattern of initiative and ability to concurrently manage multiple projects.Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.Well organized and proven attention to detail.Track record of success working independently on assigned projects.Proven experience working collaboratively with technical, marketing, sales, regulatory, and legal team members, as well as with enterprise software solution vendors.Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.PreferredExperience with the Aprimo DAM solution.Experience with content management data pools, such as Salsify, Syndigo, 1Worldsync.Experience with retail and foodservice customers data portals.
