Digital Asset Management Librarian

Primary Function
OVERVIEWAmazing brand in Minnesota is seeking a contract Digital Asset Management Librarian to manage, streamline and optimize digital content. This role will enable brand consistency and messaging through asset updates and reinforcement of brand guidelines to provide a single source of truth for digital content within the business and a more consistent user experience to all audiences. This role is hybrid with on-site 1-2 days.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage digital content in the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform (includes but is not limited to uploading, taxonomy management, metadata tagging, asset aggregation functionality, search/indexing, uploading, mass ingestion, etc.)Communicate and promote content standards, provide training and answer questions from the end user community about the availability of assets.Serve as Brand Experience point of contact for internal teams and external partners to ensure assets are tagged, ingested and archived as effectively and efficiently as possible.Aid in the establishment of DAM asset lifecycle management processes; monitor and audit assets to ensure adherence to standardsAssist with upload, tagging and research inquiries that come through inbox and solve issues or delegate tasks and review taggingComplete migration projects, divestitures, and other special projects as needed at the direction of BX Operations ManagerPartner with DAM Librarian and others to drive adoption across marketing and train users on digital asset management processes and best practicesProvide reports on content usage and user interactions with the DAM platform as requestedTroubleshoot content or platform related issues which prevent users from getting what they needSkills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Library Information Science or combination of relevant education, experience, and training1-3 years of digital asset management experience with an enterprise-level DAM, taxonomy management and metadata taggingKnowledge of wide-ranging file formats and specifications including still, video, social, 3D, web content, etc.Solid knowledge of web publishing, content management systems and Digital Rights Management (DRM) best practices/standardsSolid ability to work with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Analytics or similar, JIRA or other project management tools and basic understanding of SEOWell organized individual with ability to give attention to detail in a highly creative, fast-paced environment and ability to work independently and manage own workloadExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to effectively collaborate in a global, cross-functional team environmentEducation & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Library Information Science or combination of relevant education, experience, and training1-3 years of digital asset management experience with an enterprise-level DAM, taxonomy management and metadata tagging
