We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PICU Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our renowned Pediatric Intensive Care Unit team in
Atlanta, GA . In this vital role, you will provide specialized, high-acuity care to critically ill children, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients and their families.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric patients in the PICU, including detailed histories and physical examinations.Develop, implement, and manage individualized care plans for critically ill children, collaborating closely with pediatric intensivists and other healthcare professionals.Provide advanced clinical care, including medication administration, fluid management, and monitoring of vital signs and laboratory results.Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed, such as intubations, central line placements, and chest tube insertions.Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making timely adjustments to care plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based practices.Educate patients families about their child s condition, treatment options, and ongoing care needs, providing emotional support throughout the process.Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with institutional policies and regulatory standards.Qualifications:Active NP license in the state of Georgia1 to 2 years of PICU experience (preferred)Active DEABenefits:Competitive hourly rate.Flexible scheduling options.Opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of patients.Access to a supportive and collaborative team.
