Details Client NameAurora Medical Center Burlington Job TypeTravel OfferingNursing ProfessionRN SpecialtyER Job ID29239369 Job TitleRN ER @ Burlington - ED Weekly Pay$2542.0 Shift Details ShiftNight - 12x3 - 06PM Scheduled Hours36 Job Order Details Start Date12/02/2024 End Date03/01/2025 Duration13 Week(s) Job Description Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Nursing > Registered Nurse Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift (36 hours per week) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years required; pediatric experience preferred License: Current and valid Registered Nurse license Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in triage, assisting with RSI/intubation, procedural sedation, restraints, mass transfusion, stroke-neuro alert/criteria, and trauma activation/care Job Description: - Patient Assessment: Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients to identify needs and prioritize care. - Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. - Emergency Response: Provide immediate care to patients in critical condition, including administering medications, IVs, and life-saving interventions. - Patient Education: Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. - Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records. - Infection Control: Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. - Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. - Support and Advocacy: Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and families during crisis situations. - Additional Support: Work with techs and hospitalists, assist with blood draws if needed, and use equipment such as Epic, Alaris, and Pyxis. Other Information: - Patient Types: Emergency patients from neonates to geriatrics. - Patient Ratios: Nurse - 1:4 (days) 1:5 (nights), Tech 1:10. - Certification Required: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS. - Equipment: Familiarity with Epic charting system preferred. - Floating: No. - Orientation: 1 day of hospital orientation and 1 day of unit orientation. - Scheduling: Weekend rotation every third weekend. No on-call scheduling. Holiday work required every other holiday. Note: Scrub color can be any color.
