Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Manager to join our team and to assist the General Manager in leading our front-of-house operations. As the Assistant Manager you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations during service hours. You will oversee the dining area, manage the front of house staff, and uphold our high standards of customer service.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, backwaits, and expos, to ensure optimal performance during service hours.
2. Provide guidance, training, and support to front-of-house staff to maintain high standards of customer service, professionalism, and efficiency.
3. Monitor dining room activity to ensure a positive guest experience, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
4. Assist with seating arrangements to maximize table turnover and optimize restaurant capacity.
5. Oversee beverage service, including beer and wine offerings, ensuring accurate pouring, serving, and compliance with alcohol service regulations.
6. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
7. Collaborate with expo and kitchen to ensure timely and accurate food delivery and maintain overall service flow.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entire restaurant inside and out.
9. Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling of food, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
10. Perform opening and closing duties, including cash handling, reconciling sales, and securing the restaurant premises.
11.Assist the General Manager in all duties to ensure hospitality standards and business metrics are met.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a leadership role in the restaurant industry, preferably in a similar establishment serving beer and wine.
2. Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and mentor staff to achieve excellence in customer service.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
4. Knowledge of beer and wine service, including pouring techniques, and responsible alcohol service practices.
5. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
6. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
