Compensation Analyst

Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Compensation: $55,000 -$65,000
Work Environment: Fully Onsite


Position Overview:
We're seeking a skilled Compensation Analyst to join our client's team with a focus on compensation analysis rather than general HR functions or recruitment. This role will involve deep engagement with compensation data, analysis, and package creation to support our client's workforce.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compensation Structuring:

    • Research and establish competitive salary ranges for various positions.
    • Analyze market data to align roles with appropriate salary bands.
  2. Data & Report Management:

    • Pull compensation data from multiple sources and consolidate it
    • Work across multiple spreadsheets simultaneously to create cohesive, accurate reports.
  3. Merit Cycle Planning:

    • Assist in preparing for the upcoming merit cycle
    • Support bonus plan recommendations and design.
  4. Relocation Packages:

    • Develop and recommend relocation packages, leveraging multiple platforms and customized data.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation analysis (salary ranging, merit cycle, and relocation package creation).
    • Proficient in advanced Excel functions (formulas, VLOOKUP).
    • Familiarity with an HRIS system (preferably WorkDay).
    • Experience working with policies and procedures.
  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Proficiency in pivot tables.
    • Background in the hospitality industry.
