Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities of Purchasing Manager:
- Lead, develop, and support a team of at least two Buyers.
- Lead supplier sourcing and negotiations for Military components
- Implement supplier agreements as required.
- Perform Make vs. Buy analysis.
- Actively participate/lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR's)
- Measure Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to ensure continued success towards local and corporate goals - Purchase price Variance (PPV), Supplier On-Time Delivery (OTD), Freight Spend
- Second source critical suppliers for make components.
- Track commodity trends and interface with Military Sales team to ensure costs align to support expected margin for contracts.
- Manage safety stock, lead-times, MOQ's for assigned locations.
- Support the Corporate SIOP process as required.
- Support ISO 9001& AS-9100 audits
- Travel is required with this position.
Preferred Experience of Purchasing Manager:
- 5+ years supervisory experience required, Supply Chain or Purchasing
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & AS-9100 is required.
- ERP/MRP experience (i.e. Made2Manage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle)
- DFARS/FAR experience
- Government sourcing contract experience
- Experience in - machined parts, sheet metal, cable, and connectors
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Process oriented, high-level sense of urgency
- Good business sense and capability to develop a vision and/or strategy
